Buying a piece of furniture is a big commitment, it’s costly, needs logistical planning, and is something you’ll likely live with for years.
We’ve put together a little guide below to try and make the process of deciding a bit easier.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT PIECE
There are some important things to consider when choosing the right piece of furniture for your home.
Dimensions
Measure your space to establish maximum height, width and depth, but also work out your minimums. Having flexibility with dimensions opens up more options. It's always better to size down if you have to rather than squeezing something too big into a space.
Shortlist
Once you have a few options that could work, consider how the piece will work practically, along with colour & style. Sometimes with an odd-sized space, finding something that fits perfectly is quite a feat. If nothing comes up on our site, please contact us - we can check stock in our warehouse not listed yet.
Is it right for me?
If you appreciate old-fashioned build quality and don't like things that look glaringly brand new, vintage is for you.
Why choose vintage?
Our vintage furniture may not be 'better' than something a local cabinet maker could produce bespoke, but it completely depends on what you want to spend & your personal taste. All our pieces are handmade using high quality, dense wood. You could find a similar flat-pack piece at half the price, but it may only last a year before it starts to fall apart.
These pieces are extremely sturdy and well made. Shelves take weight without warping and pieces can be moved around whilst staying structurally sound. The best part about vintage furniture is that you don't have to be precious about it. It doesn't ruin a piece if it gets scuffed or scratched, it just adds to its story.
Every piece has been made by hand and has already stood the test of time.Unlike flat-pack furniture, vintage pieces are built with solid wood joinery that remains structurally sound for decades. When you buy vintage, you're investing in something that will outlast trends and flat-pack alternatives multiple times over.
Contact us with the dimensions you want, some examples of things you like & information on what you intend to use it for and we will do our best to source something that's right for you.

Will it fit?
Measure doorways and openings, as well as the space the piece is intended for. Depending on the weight of the piece you want to order, it can often be tilted or turned to get round doorways but if you are unsure please get in touch with us, we’ll ask for video walkthroughs and door way images to help you work it out.
Can I view it before buying?
Absolutely. We don’t have a showroom but our pieces are available to view at our warehouse in Devon subject to a viewing appointment being arranged.
Does it come flat packed?
Our furniture will not require assembly, every piece will arrive as per the pictures on the website. They are old pieces, not designed to be taken apart. The only exception is for beds
What if I need it sooner?
We may be able to offer a 2-4 day pallet delivery, this will be delivered kerbside. Please contact sales@daisysnow.co.uk for a quote.
Will the delivery drivers put it into a room of choice?
For Small, Medium and most Large furniture deliveries the two man team will put it into the room of your choice, providing it is safe to do so, and access allows.
For items over 85kg, going upstairs may not be possible. If you are unsure about access please contact us after you have ordered and we will do our best to help.
What happens to the packaging?
For small, medium & large furniture deliveries, our delivery team will remove and take away all the packaging. We always advise accepting this service as it is included in the delivery and ensures you can check the item has arrived safely.
For XSmall furniture deliveries it will be your responsibility to unwrap and dispose of the packaging.
